GFWC-Georgia Visits

Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs, (GFWC-Georgia) is a state organization composed of women’s clubs throughout the state of Georgia whose members provide volunteer service to their local communities. Their primary purpose is to carry out charitable service programs, provide leadership opportunities, and enrich the lives of its members through personal growth. To date, GFWC-Georgia has 80 local woman’s clubs throughout the state.

In the early 1900s, Athens Woman's Club member Mary Ann Lipscomb rallied her cllub sisters throughout the state to establish Tallulah Falls Industrial School. GWFC-Georgia members continue to lend support to the school and its students.
