Longtime tennis coach Randy Morris moves into new role within program

Longtime TFS tennis coach Randy Morris is moving to a new role within the Tallulah Falls tennis program. After more than two decades of fostering relationships with countless student athletes, he will continue to develop those relationships in the sport of tennis in a new position.

"After 20 years of devoted service as the head coach of the Tallulah Falls School tennis program, Morris will become the TFS Tennis Youth Development Coordinator," Athletic Director Scott Neal said.

"Coach Morris has consistently emphasized 'family' as the program's foundation, and so many of his players of the last two decades deeply appreciate the many life lessons learned under his tutelage," Neal adds. "TFS is grateful Coach Morris has agreed to enhance the overall tennis program; in his new role, he will provide 'learn to play' opportunities and focus on development for younger players to learn and enjoy the sport.

In his final year as the head coach of the program, Morris led both the Lady Indians and Indians into the state tournament. The Indians earned a region runner-up finish and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time at TFS. The girls advanced to back-to-back state tournament appearances, a first for the school.

Through the years, Morris has helped several players reach their full potential, which has resulted in a few along the way earning the opportunity to play at the next level. Evidence to that are Joshua Berger (‘07), who played at Cornell College, Javier de Claire ('13, Marion Military Academy), and Guiga Kasabkojian (‘16, Coastal Georgia College).

“We are grateful for the dedication of Coach Morris and look forward to watching how he continues to impact young lives in this new role,” says President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy.
