TFS has named the Indian of the Week for the week of September 26-October 1. This week's selections are Katarina Foskey and Tizian Scheying for high school, and Agnes Hogan & Sam Belk for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Katarina Foskey - Volleyball (HS Girl)

Katarina Foskey has worked very hard all season. This week I have seen a huge improvement in her hitting from when she first started practicing this season. She also always shows up on time and is always ready to put in work at practice. She is a great teammate and always encourages everyone else on the team to do their best. -coach Tykia Thompson

Tizian Scheying - Cross Country (HS Boy)

Tizian Scheying, the freshman, brings to the team the joy of being a contributor to the life of the team as well as seeing how good he can become. He is learning to push himself more and more to become a varsity harrier while bringing laughter and unbridled excitement for the numerous activities, paths, and opportunities afforded him and the team. -coach Scott Neal

AGNES HOGAN - TENNIS (MS Girl)

The middle school girls tennis nominee for Indian of the Week is eighth-grader Agnes Hogan. Agnes is one of most experienced players on our roster, but this was her first season playing singles. Early in the season, she had to get comfortable and gain confidence with her new role, especially in closing out matches. Now, Agnes has won her last four matches, including knocking off her Rabun Gap opponent last Monday. She has really come a long way and has matured into a great leader for us. -coach Anthony Cox

SAM BELK - CROSS COUNTRY (MS Boy)

Boys-Sixth grader Sam Belk finished as the top TFS harrier at the Summit Charter meet, placing eighth in 12:55 for the near 3km two and a half loop course. Sam has been a tremendous addition to the team this year; he works diligently to overcome fatigue, consistently seeks to improve, and is a positive presence on the team. He is unafraid to try different strategies, welcomes discomfort, and is happy when others do well. Cross country is a sport in which Sam thrives! -coach Scott Neal
