Boys varsity, MS take top spot at Forsyth Central Holiday Invitational, girls teams second

 
 

The TFS swim teams, both varsity and middle school, were in action December 3 at the Forsyth Central Holiday Invitational. The boys teams, both varsity and middle school, placed first. The girls teams both came in second.

The varsity girls finished runner-up at the meet, which included 15 teams. The girls competed among 14 teams. Swimmers raced to top-5 finishes and as well as PRs at the highly competitive meet. 

Swimmers who placed top-5 in at least one of their individual races included Adelaide Tatum, Olivia Henderson, Henry Rickman, Carsyn Griffis, Ida Patterson, Nelson Wilkinson, Ida Patterson, and Veronica Verberkmoes. 

Swimmers who raced to new personal records in at least one individual event included Davis Plaisted, Emily Shoemaker, Veronica Verberkmoes, Stella Radford, Henry Rickman, Caden Polley, Eja Wiggins, Keira Webb, Sofia Rueda Alvarez, Mina Beratovic, Teagan Penland, Sam Belk, Micah Smith, Josh Lander, Brody Irvin, Ida Patterson, Emily Shoemaker, Emery Sims, Frankie Pribyl, Jack Thomson, Martin Raybon, Harry Goldfine, Carlos Alcantara, Thatcher Tatum, Steven Jackson, Hudson Penland, Elizabeth Staffoed, Victoria Verberkmoes, Isabella McClain, Jovana Dermanovic, Teresa Torrevejano, and  Marija Ivanovic. 

"This was a great opportunity for all swimmers to have an experience in a new facility with very talented competition," adds coach Rachel Nichols.
