TFS names middle school Students of the Month for October
Middle school teachers at Tallulah Falls School have named Students of the Month for October in all grades as follows:
Fifth grade – Gabby Oliver
Fifth-grade teachers have selected Gabby Oliver of Franklin, NC as the Student of the Month for October.
Gabby was chosen because she always works hard. She is polite, respectful and kind to all her classmates and teachers. Gabby is a great friend. We are proud of Gabby!

Sixth Grade – Elsie Sims
Sixth-grade teachers have selected Elsie Sims of Clarkesville as the Student of the Month for October.
Elsie is a positive role model for all; she is kind, respectful and responsible. She carries herself with great poise, as her actions embody the Tallulah-12. Elsie has an excellent work ethic and always gives her best effort in class.

Seventh Grade – Daryl [DJ] Broome
Seventh-grade teachers have selected Daryl [DJ] Broome of Cornelia as the Student of the Month for October.
DJ is a polite and respectful young man, who has worked hard in all subject areas. He has been motivated to keep up his grades, and he has shown consistent improvement over the course of the semester in all academic classes. In addition, he has been a member of both the bass fishing and cross country teams; he understands what it means to be a student-athlete, prioritizing and doing what it takes to maintain his grades while playing a sport. We are so proud of DJ and are proud to call him part of the seventh-grade family!

Eighth Grade – Merrick Carnes and Lupita Carrillo
Eighth-grade teachers have selected Merrick Carnes of Cornelia and Lupita Carrillo of Mt. Airy as the Students of the Month for October.
Merrick Carnes is a leader among his peers who can be described as outgoing, courteous, and respectful.
Merrick is an intelligent student who brings a great deal of energy to the classroom.

Merrick’s leadership and positive attitude are to be commended. He gives his best effort in class and constantly encourages his classmates.

Lupita Carrillo has made a huge impact for good during her short time at TFS. She stands out as conscientious, kind, and diligent.
Lupita is willing to step outside her comfort zone to achieve excellence!

Lupita is one of the most conscientious students in the 8th grade. She goes above and beyond on all her work and takes extra time to make sure she understands challenging concepts. She is a positive influence in class.
