Tallulah Falls Torrents gearing up for 2023 season

 
 

The Tallulah Falls Torrents Summer League Swim team is gearing up for the 2023 season. The summer league team is open to all children in the community, ages 6 and up, who are able to complete one length of the 25 yard pool, unassisted. 

There will be a parent orientation meeting on Tuesday, May 2, at 6 PM in the Natatorium to go over the following information and additional details, as well as to answer any questions.

This meeting will include a swim assessment (this will not be a practice). For those attending, please have your child bring their swimsuit, towel, and goggles. All swimmers, even those returning, will be assessed. 

Season Dates/Times:

  • June 6-30 
  • Practices Tuesday-Friday with meets on select weekends
    • Minnows (Pre-competitive*) 4-4:45 PM
    • Sharks (Competitive*) 5-5:45 PM

*More info on this will be given out at the meeting

Cost:

  • $150/swimmer for the regular season, which ends on June 30 ($125 for TFS Students)
    • This does not include splash fees for optional competitions. You can expect to pay between $15-$25 per meet your child swims 

Torrents Meet Schedule: 

  • NGSL Splash: June 10 *for those ready for competition*
  • NGSL Pentathlon: June 17
  • NGSL Invitational: June 24
  • NGSL Championships: June 30-July 1
  • 3rd Annual Shark Swim Meet: TBD

Meet details will be given out at the parent meeting-including for swimmers who qualify for the GRPA State Swim Meet. Please note that we will need your child’s birth certificates-in order to register.
