Lady Indians stay unbeaten; Indians edged out by Cherokee Bluff

The Lady Indians remained without blemish, while the Indians meanwhile still seek that first win following a Tuesday home split against Cherokee Bluff.

The Lady Indians won 5-0, taking a win at every line. The Indians lost 3-2, with Zach Carringer grabbing a win at 3-singles and both doubles combos winning.

"The Lady Indians had another really strong performance in our first match," says coach Anthony Cox. "Our singles are really playing under control and with confidence, and our doubles are coming together and improving each day."

After falling behind 2-0, the boys rallied with Jake Owensby and Glad Puscasu pulling out a victory, winning two tiebreakers to get TFS its first point of the season. Carringer played a solid first set and held on in a tight 10-point tiebreaker.

"Even though we weren't able to pull it out, they have shown major improvement in the young season," adds Cox.

The Lady Indians roll to 3-0 on the season, while the Indians are now 0-3.
