Lumpkin shuts out Lady Indians
The Lady Indians traveled to Lumpkin County on Tuesday evening, and lost a 7-0 final.
The home team held a sizeable 4-0 lead at the break, though Kyndal Anderson registered nine saves in the half. She recorded 11 more in the second half to finish with 20 saves, and Maddie LeBlanc, Josie Chesser, and Tessa Foor all had shots on goal.
Anderson and Chesser both were able to play well and keep TFS from going down 10-0, and LeBlanc held the midfield together.
"This was a very tough game, but these girls kept their head up and played hard until the last whistle," says coach Erin Jimenez. "Not the result we wanted but I am proud of the effort they gave tonight."
The Lady Indians are now 1-2 on the season.
