MS golf sweeps past Banks County
Tallulah Falls MS golf had a great day on the course Wednesday, as both the boys and girls were winners over Banks County.
The Indians got a low medalist performance by Owen Earp, who shot a 44, to secure their first match win of the season. Emmitt Likens had a season-best 48. Josh Newell (57) and Maddox English (50) rounded out the top-4 scores on the boys side. Overall, TFS shot a 199 against Banks County's 228.
The Lady Indians use a top-2 score approach as Banks County had only two girls compete. Maeve Hatcher shot a 47 to lead the match, and Sadie Henslee carded a 52 as TFS won 99-107. The match was tied after eight holes, with the ninth and final hole determining the outcome. A 3-year undefeated streak was on the line for TFS.
The remaining Lady Indians played a Team Scramble Match. Handley James and Emee Wagner (54) were able to hold off Bella Sun and Quinlan Flanders (61) in a very competitive Team Friendly match.
