TFS competes at GAC Invitational

 
 

At Saturday's GAC Invitational, the Indians came in 7th and the Lady Indians 10th overall. However, the event had separate scores for 9-10 grade, and TFS was 2nd for the boys and 3rd for the girls. FULL RESULTS

Significant performances today came from Sam Ketch, who won the discus and had a PR in shot put. Ade Akisanya had a massive PR in the shot put and Makhi Edgecombe had a PR in the shot put as well.

Teagan Penland broke five minutes and 11 minutes in the 1600 and 3200, respectively. Other PRs included Jay Taylor (High Jump), Jovanna Dermanovic (2 hurdles), Joanna Miller (400), Ryan Anderson (800 and 1600), Asea Molodynska (200), Milos Ivancevic (300 MH and 200), Brian Neely (Triple Jump), and Clay Kafsky (Triple Jump).

The following came in the top-10 for their events:

Indians

  • Sam Ketch - 1st in Discus; 4th in Shot Put
  • Teagan Penland - 1st in 1600 (9-10 Grade); 8th in 3200 
  • Ade Akisanya - 3rd in Shot Put; 7th in Discus
  • Milos Ivancevic - 3rd in 300 MH
  • Jay Taylor - 4th in High Jump
  • Ryan Anderson - 4th in 1600 (9-10 Grade)
  • Makhi Edgecombe - 5th in Shot Put; 5th in Discus
  • Brian Neely - 5th in Triple Jump

Lady Indians

  • Olivia Henderson - 4th in 1600 (9-10 Grade); 6th in 3200
  • Jace Ibemere - 5th in Triple Jump; 5th in Long Jump
  • Meredith Orr - 5th in 1600 (9-10 Grade); 7th in 3200
  • 4x400 Relay - 5th 
  • Joanna Asea Molodynska - 8th in 100 (9-10 Grade)
