MS Indians draw at Athens Academy

The MS boys soccer team traveled to Athens Academy on Thursday and left with a 1-1 draw.

 The Indians scored first on Sebastian York's right side corner kick that Avery Chatman headed in. 

Athens Academy scored on a corner kick with three minutes left in the match to equalize. 

"The boys played well at a tough venue after a week break," says coach Travis Mullis. "Avery's header on the corner was something everyone had worked on and he rose to the occasion. Athens Academy had a tall keeper with good quality and a strong defense that made it difficult for us to finish. We'll go back to training tomorrow and keep getting better."

The boys are now 2-1-2 overall on the season.
