MS girls grind out win against Highlands
The MS girls soccer team had a strong second half and grinded out a 2-1 home win Friday against Highlands.
Neither team scored in the first half, but the Lady Indians got a goal in the 50th minute by Ida Patterson on a ball from Betsey Orr.
A few minutes later, Patterson scored again, with Stella Radford earning the assist. Everyone got playing time in the win.
"We enjoyed celebrating a region win this evening while celebrating our four 8th-graders - Stella Radford, Ida Patterson, Emma Ivester, and Sofia Alderfer," says coach Laura Higbie. "This win puts us in 2nd place in the Tri-State Conference. I’m very proud of this team and how far we’ve come."
The Lady Indians move to 4-6 overall.
