Indians take win over Walhalla at home
CHAZ MULLIS - The Walhalla Razorbacks fell to the varsity Indians after a hard-fought match on Friday night. Both teams were neck-and-neck throughout the second and third quarters, but the TFS varsity squad prevailed, 55-44.
The #10-ranked Indians got off to an early start in the first quarter at 13-8, with Anfernee Hanna leading with 6 points. The Razorbacks took back the lead in the second quarter, putting up 25 points against the Indians' 18. Both teams fought hard at the beginning of the second half, but TFS narrowly came out on top at 34-33. Sammy Davis was hard to defend throughout the quarter, putting in 7 points. The Indians finished the half strong, ending the game at 55-44.
Davis led in points for the team with 15, with Hanna trailing in second with 12 points. Devonte Allen contributed 10 points during the matchup.
The boys' varsity team are now 6-2, and will play Stephens County at home on Saturday.
