TFS wins more than a dozen events in Rabun meet
TFS track & field competed at Rabun County on Friday, with many individuals taking first-place honors. The girls and boys won the dual, hand-timed, training-oriented meet.
Zhigao Henrry Xiong set a PR in the 800 and 1600, and ran well in the 3200 also. Evan Prince won the 800, 1600, and 3200, while Grey Bourlet (Pole Vault, 400, 110 MH), Simeon Respress (High Jump, Long Jump), Gavin Atkinson (300 MH), the 4x100 Relay of Blair Moore, Charlie Cody, Kale Corbett, and Respress, and the 4x400 Relay of Prince, Moore, Respress, and Bourlet all took first place finishes.
On the girls side, wins came for Macy Murdock (High Jump, 100 MH, 300 MH, 400), Lucy Alexander (800, 1600), Lucy Ladd (Long Jump, 100), Shelby Brightwell (Pole Vault), Lois Ibeh (200), and the 4x100 Relay (Ibeh, Ladd, Allie Phasavang, Alba Romanos Gracia).
TFS competes again on Wednesday at Wesleyan.
