Larry A. Peevy Leadership Scholarship
The Larry A. Peevy Leadership Scholarship an annual award established to honor Dr. Larry A. Peevy's continued transformative leadership and service as president of Tallulah Falls School.
Scholarship Criteria
- Eligibility: Open to prospective day students applying to Tallulah Falls School.
- Selection Criteria:
- Character & Leadership: Applicants should embody the values of integrity, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth
- Academic Excellence: Demonstrated through superior academic performance.
- Financial Need: Consideration of economic circumstances to ensure access to an independent school education.
Award Requirements
- Involved in community service, leadership, and extracurricular activities
- Complete the TFS admissions process and meet the most current admissions criteria
- Family applies and qualifies for financial aid
- New students
Annual Timeline
- Application Opens: Mid-February
- Application Deadline: March 15
- Award Announcement: Early April
Scholarship Renewal
- Administered by the Enrollment Services Department
- Maintains a 3.0 GPA and acceptable behavior/attendance, no more than five demerits
- Complete annual community service requirements, LS 10 hours/year, MS 20 hours/year, US 30 hours/year
- Annual campus involvement in fine arts, athletics, and/or school clubs
- Family submits financial information each school year (fee waived)
- Funds from Georgia Goal, Georgia REACH Goal, Georgia Promise Scholarships, and similar programs may be utilized to fund scholarships
Annual Award Benefits
- If a student receives the award, they will receive it every year until graduation, as long as they meet the annual requirements
- Full tuition and fees, use of a school computer, books, supplies, credit for uniforms, and transportation included (optional trips not included)
- Annual Recognition: Dinner with Dr. Peevy, families, and teachers, article announcing the winner and recognizing student achievements
