Emma Arden - Basketball
MS Girl
Middle school girls basketball Indian of the Week is Emma Arden. Since Christmas break, Emma has stepped up her game. In her last two games she scored 4 points and 6 points. She has shown leadership on the floor and at practice. Her communication with her teammates has improved, allowing her to help move our defense more effectively. Emma has brought up her numbers in every category, making her a great candidate for Indian of the Week. Way to go Emma! -coach Jennifer Cox
Bryson Perdue - Basketball
MS Boy
The MS Boys Basketball nominee for Indian of the Week is 8th-grader Bryson Perdue. In the only game last week, Bryson managed to pull down seven rebounds in seven minutes of play. Bryson is new to basketball, but he is listening to coaching and improving every single day in practice and with game experience. He is very unselfish in his play but is willing to do anything he can to help the team succeed. For the season, Bryson is shooting over 58% on the season and averaging over 4.5 rebounds in less than nine minutes per game. With his positive attitude and hunger and willingness to work to get better, the sky's the limit for his basketball future. -coach Anthony Cox
