TFS celebrates senior award winners
The learning community at Tallulah Falls School honored the Class of 2022 with its annual Awards Day held on May 20 in advance of commencement ceremonies held later the same day.
President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy and Upper School Academic Dean Kim Popham led the program with Assistant Dean of Student Dustin Rogers recognizing Presidential Scholars.
Peevy announced the TFS Class of 2022 earned more than $9.5 million in scholarships; graduates were accepted to more than 125 colleges and universities.
“We are quite proud of the Class of 2022,” Peevy said. “These accomplished seniors successfully navigated the challenge of a rigorous college preparatory curriculum during a global pandemic. Tenacious, determined and committed are words to describe this group.”
Honors and awards were presented to seniors as follows:
STAR Student – Jingyi Sang and STAR Teacher – Kelli Bly, presented by Kim Popham.
Outstanding Culinary Arts Student – Tillie Crumley, presented by Whitney Calloway.
Outstanding English Student – Madison Perdue, presented by Kelli Bly.
Outstanding Journalism Student – Flannery Hogan, presented by Elisha Boggs.
Outstanding Mathematics Student – Jingan Sang, presented by Deborah Morrison.
