Indians of the Week: October 10-15

TFS has named the Indian of the Week for the week of October 10-15. This week's selections are Elsa Sanchez and Eli Damron for high school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Elsa Sanchez - Volleyball (HS Girl)

Elsa Sanchez had a great week. She showed great commitment and work ethic in the practices this week getting ready for the Region Tournament matches. Elsa was instrumental in helping our lady Indians secure their first Region Championship this past Saturday. The leadership, great play, and energy she brought to her team and the court this week led the way to history being made. -coach Matt Heyl

Eli Damron - Cross Country (HS Boy)

In the first TFS team meet to run at night, junior Eli Damron ran a 5k personal record at 23:53 under the lights at the Pickens Nightlight Invite held at Roper Park. As usual, Eli ran a smart race, controlling his energy output throughout the three-loop flat and fast grass and rubber mat course in a strategic manner conducive to his present fitness. Eli is the epitome of poise, persistence, and purposeful living, traits that don't go unnoticed by his teammates. -coach Scott Neal
