ESports closes fall regular season in preparation for playoffs

The ESports teams wrapped up the fall regular season this week, and are now set for the state playoffs.

The Rocket League teams, the Ducks and Rockets, both finished with a 2-3 match record.

"The record may not be great, but the improvements the teams made were tremendous," exclaims coach Casey Barron. "Both teams will be back for the spring and I believe both will challenge for a playoff spot."

The players on the Ducks are Adam Kennedy, Amy Henriques, and Ezekiel Phillips. The Rockets team players are Henry Bowman, Andrew Whittle, and Camden Elrod.

The League of Legends team, The Indians, finished the regular season ranked #9 in the state out of 66 teams with a record of 12-5. The Indians start their run in the state playoffs December 5 (Monday) at 4 PM against Northview.

The Indians players are Daniel Shin, David Hu, Amy Ma, William Xu, and Nana Amankwah. Shin is also ranked #2 in the state at his position.

"Having a player ranked this high at their position is a first for TFS ESports," adds Barron. "The TFS League of Legends teams have made the playoffs every fall and spring season four straight years, finishing as high as #4 in the state."
