Bass fishing teams battle tough conditions in Lake Lanier tournament

 
 

The TFS bass fishing team took on the water and the elements Saturday at their Lake Lanier tournament, competing in harsh conditions to respectable results. It was the team's second of five tournaments in the 2022-23 season.

The junior division saw the duo of DJ Broome and Shepard Crumley finished 11th out of 36 teams. Broome and Crumley reeled in one fish weighing 3.46 points, giving them an Angler of the Year point total of 290 for the tournament.

In the high school division, Austin Zigler teamed up with Wyatt York for a 78th-place finish among 180 teams. The anglers hauled in three fish (5.08 total points), earning 224 AOY points.

The teams wrap up their 2022 portion of the schedule, and will compete next February 2 on Lake Seminole.
