MS Indians cruise to win over Highlands, sets up Tri-State title game
The MS Indians took a convincing 49-21 at home over Highlands on Wednesday in the Tri-State semifinals, setting up a third straight championship game appearance.
Brian Neely scored 13 points to pace the offense, and added 12 rebounds and 5 assists in a double-double effort. Asa Popham had 11 points, Jack Greene had 9, and Brantley Addison had 8 in the win.
Going into the half, TFS had just a 6-point lead at 18-12. The Indians came out in the second half and took advantage of turnovers and added pressure to secure the victory.
The boys are now 9-3 overall on the season. The Tri-State Conference Championship is Saturday.
