MS Indians drop 12-2 contest at Lakeview

The Indians fell in a 12-2 final at Lakeview Thursday evening, taking their second consecutive loss in the process.

Lakeview punched in a run in the first, added 4 in the second, 3 in the third, and one in the fourth to go up 9-0. Through the first 5 innings, TFS never really threatened as the offense was stymied early.

Tallulah Falls got on the board in the sixth with a pair of runs, with Garrett Dorsey driving in one with a base hit and Asa Popham's fielder's choice bringing home the other. TFS combined for 6 hits in the game, with Drew Barron going 2-for-3 with a double.

Woods Irvin took the loss, as he started and gave up 9 runs (only 3 earned) over 3 innings while striking out one. Jack Greene pitched well in relief, giving up one unearned run across 2.1 innings, allowing only 2 hits, no walks, and recording 3 strikeouts.

The Indians are now 2-3 on the season.
