Darlington shuts out Tallulah Falls in opening round exit

 
 

The Indians dropped both first round games of the GHSA State Tournament at Darlington on Friday by a combined score of 21-0. TFS lost the first game 10-0 and the finale 11-0.

Darlington's top-notch pitching allowed only 2 hits all day against Tallulah Falls' lineup. The Indians were no-hit in the opener, and Rohajae Pinder also carried a no-hitter into the fourth inning. Darlington's bats came alive with a 9-run inning, and one more in the fifth sealed the deal.

In the second game, Darlington struck for 3 runs in the first and second to pull ahead 6-0. One in the fourth and 4 in the fifth capped the scoring. Danny Grant and Pinder had the lone hits, with Grant's being a triple.

The Indians close the season at 12-17 overall.
