State Playoff Preview: TFS Volleyball Round One

The Lady Indians are set to appear in their 9th straight state playoffs, with TFS entering the GHSA bracket in each season since 2015. The reigning 1A State Champions are hoping for another deep run that goes at least to the Sweet 16 for the fifth time in school history.

TFS is 29-14 overall on the season, and just had a 13-match win streak (school record) that ended last week in a tune-up against Morgan County. The Lady Indians earned a second straight Area Championship, and are on the verge of the school's third 30-win season ever.

The #4-ranked Lady Indians will play host in the opening round against Aquinas. The Lady Fightin' Irish are 9-11 on the season, and have a 5-7 road record they will bring to Tallulah Falls. Senior Addy McCoy has led the nation in aces at one point this season, and now has both the single-season and career marks in that category. Meanwhile, she and fellow senior Katarina Foskey lead the team in kills, while junior Chesney Tanksley leads in assists, sophomore Kate Gary in digs, and Foskey in blocks.
