State Playoff Preview: TFS Volleyball Sweet 16

The Lady Indians secured a 3-0 win in the opening round over Aquinas. #4-ranked TFS is now 30-14, collecting the program's third 30-win season. This marks the 9th straight playoff run for the Lady Indians, and the fifth Sweet 16 appearance overall (fourth in a row). 

Tallulah Falls has had a season that includes winning a second consecutive Area Championship, and a 13-match win streak throughout. Area Player of the Year Addy McCoy continues to add to her stellar season, building with each match her single-season and career aces records. Katarina Foskey is first in kills with 343 (and 38 blocks), which is 74 shy of the single-season mark and currently 3rd-most in a single season. McCoy has 299 kills, while Kate Gary (295 digs) and Chesney Tanksley (705 assists) are having great campaigns as well.

Visiting TFS is #6-ranked Mt. Vernon. The Lady Mustangs are ranked #4 and TFS #5 in the Score Atlanta poll. Mt. Vernon comes from the extremely tough Region 6-A, and are 23-23-2. While the record might not be the best, the Strength of Schedule is among the best in the state. The Lady Mustangs have a good amount of height on the roster, and rely a lot on JR Taylor Docka and SO Claire Jacobsen, who have comined for well over 400 kills. Mt. Vernon is 5-9-1 in true away matches this season, and have gone 56-58 in overall sets played.
