Several runners put up season bests in Athens Academy meet
The varsity cross country teams showed amazing improvement on Thursday at Athens Academy, with 15 runners putting up season-best times.
The Lady Indians finished in 3rd place as a team, while the Indians placed 6th. Avery Keim again led the girls with a 10th-place finish. Olivia Henderson (13th) was also in the top 20. The boys were paced by Timothy Beck's 15th-place run.
"Overall, excellent performances, lessons learned or strengthened," says coach Scott Neal. "Some of our kids actually inspired themselves by the way they ran today."
