Molly Mitchell - Basketball
Senior Molly Mitchell had a big week combining for 40 points (including her career high of 20), 10 rebounds, and 5 steals. Molly this season is playing hard on both sides of the ball and setting a good example of a point guard in leadership on and off the court. -coach Lowell Hamilton
Bryson Perdue - Basketball
Bryson Perdue played a critical role in the win over Stephens County last week. Perdue ended the game with 9 points and 6 rebounds. -coach Cody Coleman
DERARTU KOHLER - SWIMMING
Derartu Kohler is a veteran swimmer on our middle school team. This year, she has exceeded expectations by attending optional morning swim practices that are usually attended by only high school swimmers. Her commitment level has proven beneficial this season. At our recent meet, the Holiday Invite, Derartu dropped over two seconds in her 50 free race for a top three finish. She also had over a one second drop in her 50 backstroke. She also helped lead her medley relay to a second place finish. We are proud of the hard work and initiative Derartu has put in so far this season! -coach Tamara Griffis
IAN BORCHERS - SWIMMING
Ian Borchers is a second year swimmer for the middle school swim team. Ian always comes to practice with a positive attitude. He is eager to refine his strokes and better his times. At our Holiday Invite this past weekend, Ian's hard work and perseverance paid off. He dropped three seconds in his 50 freestyle and two seconds in his 50 breaststroke race from the previous weekend! Ian is a great teammate and brings positive energy to the entire middle school team. -coach Tamara Griffis
