Oglethorpe holds off TFS in 52-45 final

Tallulah Falls dropped a second straight game in a 52-45 final at home Tuesday against Oglethorpe. The Indians were within striking distance until the final seconds.

The Indians held an 18-15 lead after the first quarter of play, but Oglethorpe used a big second-quarter run to pull ahead for good. Tallulah stayed close with six 3-pointers in the contest, and got within four points in the final seconds. However, a 17-4 third quarter in favor of the visitors was too much to overcome.

TFS trailed by 15 points heading into the final quarter before Hayden Bootle got hot and trimmed the deficit down to 49-45 with 32 seconds left. Bootle had a team-high 16 points, while Stevan Gabric added 11. Zakhar Valasiuk and Judah McIntosh chipped in with eight apiece, and Bryson Perdue added a bucket.

The Indians move to 3-8 on the season.
