Lady Indians drop road game to Athens Academy

The Lady Indians dropped a 43-27 road game Saturday evening at Athens Academy.

TFS was close, facing just a 10-9 deficit after the first quarter, highlighted by a Molly Mitchell shot from beyond the arc. In the second, Athens Academy stretched that lead to 22-14 as Tallulah Falls notched only one field goal.

In the third, Breelyn Wood had a 3-pointer and Haygen James got a shot to go, but Athens Academy continued to put the game out of reach, taking a 33-19 lead going into the final quarter. 

Wood led with 10 points, James had nine, and Mitchell and LB Kafsky four apiece. James also had 10 rebounds for a near double-double, and Millie Holcomb tallied five boards.

The Lady Indians are now 5-5 overall.
