MS basketball secures wins over Blue Ridge

 
 

The MS basketball teams won in convincing fashion on Monday at home against Blue Ridge. The Lady Indians secured a 29-1 win while the Indians won 48-31.

The girls scored only four first quarter points before tallying 11 in the second. Nora Mitchell had 12 points, Linda White had seven, Payton McEntire four, and two each for Kourtney Hunter, Mia Kerr, and Lily Denard. 

The Indians beat Blue Ridge 48-31, with several players chipping in. Asa Popham led with 15 points, Brantley Addison had 11, and Ethan Phasavang and Grantley Smith had eight and seven, respectively.

"Great final game going into the break," exclaims coach Nathan Stanley.

The Lady Indians are now 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference action, while the boys are 5-3 overall and 5-1 in league play.
