Indians blank Seckinger in final tune-up
The Indians got some good work in during a 2-0 home win against Seckinger on Wednesday.
"The boys played well and as a cohesive unit," says coach Jeremy Stille. "They worked the ball well and defended as a unit. All players go ample playing time to get their legs under them."
Jared Mullis got the first goal, coming in the first half off a long free kick from Jake Wehrstein. In the second half, Mullis and Austin Ball combined for a quick 1-2 to send Ball through on goal. He placed it past the keeper for the 2-0 lead.
"Overall we worked hard," adds Stille. "Need to improve our fitness, touch, and spacing, but a great start to prepare for the season."
The Indians officially get first touch next Tuesday at home against Athens Academy.
