MS Indians use 11-run seventh in win at Athens Christian

The MS Indians used an 11-run seventh inning to take an 18-5 final at Athens Christian.

After a 3-run first, TFS had a nice lead. Athens Christian immediately got one back before the Indians built on that with a run in the third, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth. That had the Indians up 7-1, though the Eagles scored three in the home half to pull within 7-4.

Then came the offensive explosion. David Borrow went 4-for-5 with a double, and Woods Irvin pitched his way to the win by allowing just one earned run in four innings. Brody Dampier finished it off in relief.

The MS team is now 2-1 on the season.
