Indians earn win over Athens Christian while Lady Indians get competitive in team match

Tallulah Falls MS took a win over Athens Christian on Wednesday afternoon.

Despite the Lady Indians not having an opponent to face, the girls took part in an intrasquad match, which proved to be very competitive. Maeve Hatcher (42) was the low medalist, and Sadie Henslee (43) was right behind her. It was the best round of the year for both. Handley James (54), despite a wrist injury, played extremely well. Bella Sun and Emee Wagner were able to hold off Quinlan Flanders and Catherine Harris in a 2-person scramble match.

The Indians were victorious against a relatively-new Athens Christian program. Owen Earp (47) led the Indians once again as low medalist.  Maddox English (50) and Emmitt Likens (55) rounded out the Top-3 Scores. West Ridlehoover shot his low score of the year with a solid 59. Joshua Newell finished with a 61.

"Myself and Coach Franklin saw tremendous improvement in putting from all players in this match," says coach Jadie Hatcher. "This is something we've been spending a lot of time on in our Performance Golf Lab and its finally showing the results we've been looking for."

The golf teams appear to be in peak form as they prepare for the MS Golf Championship on April 10.
