Indians of the Month: March 2024

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the month of March. This month's selections are Ariel Kelsick and TJ Cox for high school, and Nora Mitchell and Lucas Woodland for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE MONTH

ARIEL KELSICK - tennis

In eight matches in March, senior Ariel Kelsick was undefeated playing the majority of matches at the 1-singles position, which includes 5-0 in region play. Her total game score was 96-10, which is an incredibly dominant series of performances. Ariel is exactly what you would hope for in a senior leader. She works hard, is excellent in the classroom, and she brings intensity every single day. -coach Anthony Cox

TJ COX - TENNIS

After dropping a match against a very tough Mount Paran Christian opponent, junior TJ Cox went on a seven-match win streak, with an incredible total game score of 84-3. This includes 5-0 in region play winning 60 games and dropping only two. He works extremely hard and gives his all every time he steps on the court. TJ also encourages his teammates in practice, during his match, and after his match is complete. -coach Anthony Cox

Nora Mitchell - Soccer

7th-grade soccer player Nora Mitchell is a standout on the team. She has embraced the ever-important role of center mid willingly and aggressively. Nora has been a huge part of the attacking and defending components. Nora is a well-rounded athlete and the soccer team is grateful to have her. -coach Laura Higbie

LUCAS WOODLAND - SOCCER

8th-grade goalkeeper, Lucas Woodland, is in his second season. Lucas has been vital to the success of our boys team, earning one clean sheet and supporting a 4-1-2 record. Yet, this is only part of what Lucas has done for TFS athletics this spring. Additionally, he has helped as a ball boy for both varsity soccer teams and participates in track and field when time has allowed. Keep up the great work, Lucas! -coach Travis Mullis
