State Playoff Preview: Baseball

For the first time in school history, the Indians are hosting a playoff series. Despite dropping the final two games of the regular season to Athens Christian with one hand on the region title, TFS will regroup and turn its focus on Oglethorpe County who comes in for a 3-game series.

The Indians will need to win two of the three to advance to its potential first-ever Sweet 16. The season has been historic, as TFS has a program-record 19 wins and a #4 state ranking. Among the team records this season include biggest win streak (6), wins (19), runs scored (225), and 10+ runs (11). Danny Grant has tied or set several records. He's tied: single-season runs (37), single-season triples (4), all-time triples (6), all-time walks (34). He's taken sole possession in single-season stolen bases (24), all-time runs (72), and all-time stolen bases (43). He is six hits shy of the all-time school record.

Cole Bonitatibus has tied the school single-season record of six wins, and Chase Pollock has tied the career wins mark of 10. Bonitatibus' 82 strikeouts is a single-season record, and his 142 career are just three shy of the all-time record.

Tallulah Falls is making its third state playoff appearance in the past four years. The lineup standouts this season includes (but is not limited to) Grant, BJ Carver, Caden Walker, Pollock, Ashton Roache, Chris Waldron, Diego Gonzalez, Gregory Mendez, and David Dutary.
