Broome, Cantrell come in 41st in season-opening tournament

The bass fishing team opened the 2024-25 season on Saturday on Lake Eufaula at Lake Point State Park.

DJ Broome and Jackson Cantrell, both sophomores, reeled in the max catch of five fish. The weight totaled 7.73 pounds, netting 261 Angler of the Year points.

Despite a 2-hour fog delay and going up against 126 teams, Broome and Cantrell competed well in the first tournament.
