What Is In Your Toolbox?
Junior Carsyn Griffis recently added a micropipette to her toolbox. During a college biology lab, she learned to transfer specific volumes of liquid in very small quantities. She will use this to transform bacteria to take up a plasmid that will make the bacteria glow.
“I love to experiment and learn different things,” said Carsyn. “My dream is to use science to help me pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. Here at TFS, I can take college-level science classes, which puts me ahead of the game for college.” She enjoys her science classes because they are engaging and allow her to explore her world.
