State Playoff Preview: Boys Basketball

The Indians earned a win over Commerce in the region play-in game to secure a fifth straight playoff bid. Following that, TFS put a scare into top-seed and eventual champions Athens Christian in the region semifinals, coming within 10 points. A loss to Elbert County pushed Tallulah Falls to the 4-seed out of the region, meaning a date at #1 Jasper County.

TFS is 7-21 overall on the season, and have been led statistically by the trio of senior Zakhar Valasiuk, junior Hayden Bootle, and sophomore Neyo Bain. The team has endured a lot this season, and this playoff experience will be invaluable to the returning talent next season.

Jasper County is an 18-8 team. The Hurricanes won their region title, and are on a 3-game win streak. Jasper is 9-3 on the home court, with a solid defense and offense alike.
