JV baseball splits with Hart County

 
 

The Indians split a double header on Saturday against Hart County. 

TFS lost the first game 5-3. Drew Barron had an RBI single to tie the game at one before Hart took a 3-1 lead. In the fourth, Justin Miller had a sac fly and Jackson Savage had a game-tying single. 

Hart got a pair of runs in the fifth to secure the win. The Indians had 11 hits, with Barron, Savage, Smith, Wyatt Dorsey, and Robert Grant collecting two hits apiece. Griffin Harkness took the loss despite just allowing one earned run in a complete game effort with seven strikeouts.

In the second game, the Indians won 6-0. TFS got four in the third to take a commanding lead. Dorsey and Grant had RBI singles and Miller had a two-run double. Dorsey added a sac fly the next inning. Savage and Miller had two hits each, as the latter along with Dorsey had two RBIs each.

Barron was phenomenal on the mound, throwing a complete game shutout on just two hits and three strikeouts. The Indians are now 10-1 on the season.
