Adrijana Albijanic signs letter of intent with Lawrence University

Lady Indians senior basketball player Adrijana Albijanic has signed her LOI with Lawrence University to pursue her academic and athletic career.

Albijanic made the most of her late connection to the Lady Vikings from Appleton, Wisconsin.

“I had a lot of colleges contacting me and I didn’t establish a connection with Lawrence until later in my process,” says Albijanic. “After almost committing to another college, I saw that Lawrence can offer me a great education in the field I want and combine it with their basketball program, it caught my attention. Its rankings are high and they have a beautiful campus in the city next to the river. Researching more, I saw how many organizations, activities, and facilities they have which intrigued me even more. A big influence on my decision were the friendly coaches that celebrated with me, explained everything to me, and helped me with what I needed. I am grateful that I’m able to commit to Lawrence, it is really an honor to be someone who they want.”

Albijanic was an All-Region Honorable Mention, averaging 2.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game from the post position.

“I never thought I would play at the next level, I thought I was never good enough to do so and back home I barely got playing time,” says Albijanic. “My first year (junior season) at TFS I started to play basketball again after a 3-year pause and with encouragement from my coach and support from my teammates I finally started to love basketball again. At the beginning of senior year I started thinking about playing at the next level and I know I was late in my decision but what else could I do other than try. Seeing that there was a chance, I was motivated and my journey started from there.”

Albijanic becomes the ninth TFS student-athlete to sign an LOI this academic year. She is the 5th girls basketball player from TFS all-time to go on to the next level. Albijanic will be honored with all other senior signees in May 2024 at the second annual Next Level Signing Ceremony.
