State Playoff Preview (Sweet 16): Baseball

The Tallulah Falls Indians motored through Oglethorpe County by a combined scored of 17-2 in the opening round. #4-ranked TFS is in the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history. Records have continued to be shattered by the team and several individuals.

The trio of standout pitchers, Cole Bonitatibus, Chase Pollock, and Andrew Skvarka, all had success in the opening round of the playoffs, while Danny Grant, Caden Walker, BJ Carver, Ashton Roache, and the rest fo the lineup all had big moments as well.

Now Tallulah Falls travels to 1-seed Pepperell, a 28-3 region championship team that is also ranked #4 in the state polls. The Dragons have gone 12-1 at home, and are winners over St. Francis in the first round of state. Pepperell relies on a solid pitching staff that gives up under three runs per game, and an offense that generates nearly eight runs per contest.
