MS volleyball picks up first win of season against Trinity

For the first time this season, the MS Lady Indians are in the win column. The A-Team won 2-0 against visiting Trinity Classical in what was the home opener. The B-Team came up short.

In the A-Team contest, TFS won 25-11, 25-8 to secure the win. Nora Mitchell had 10 aces on the evening, while Izzy Watts had four, Becca Roberts three, and Emmalyn Whisnant one. Tori Crotta had eight kills, while Roberts and Whisnant had four apiece. Mitchell added two kills, while Abigail Cruz and Watts each had one.

The B-Team gave a solid effort, but came up short in a 21-25, 15-25 loss. Maelyn Carlyle led the team with seven aces, and Bella Sun and Watts each contributed with two. Shelby Simmons added a kill.

The A-Team moves to 1-1 on the season, and the B-Team drops to 0-1-1.
