Indians of the Week: August 12-17

 
 

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of August 12-17. This week's selections are Becca Heyl and Teagan Penland for the high school, and Tori Crotta and Sebastian York for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

BECCA HEYL - VOLLEYBALL

Becca Heyl led her team well in the first week of competition. She was the leader in kills, aces, and digs. More importantly, she was a leader because of her positivity, sacrifice, encouragement, and communication skills. All her teammates can hear her positive voice calling out the action on the court. -coach Matt Heyl

TEAGAN PENLAND - XC

Sophomore Teagan Penland placed 15th out of 108 harriers at Athens Christian at the NE GA XC Championships. His time of 18:15.49 is a 17-second 5k PR and was the top TFS performance. Teagan works diligently at his craft, shows distinct in-race mental fortitude and successful strategies, and displays race and season ambition.  His 5k time is now #11 all-time on the TFS Cross Country Legacy List. -Scott Neal

TORI CROTTA - VOLLEYBALL

During the preseason jamboree Tori served up 8 aces and 10 kills and in a win against Trinity Classical she had 8 kills. -coach Matt Crotta

SEBASTIAN YORK - XC

This past weekend Sebastian came in 33 out of 177 harriers in a HOT humid competition. While he has also shown great leadership at practices and during warm-ups. -coach Scott Neal
