A-Team wins again, B-Team drops 2-setter to Madison

The MS volleyball teams were in action Monday at home against Madison County. The A-Team grabbed another win by a 2-0 final, and the B-Team dropped its match in straight sets.

The A-Team won 25-8, 25-11. Nora Mitchell lit up the Madison defense with super serving, and had 12 aces including a run of five straight serves. She also had two kills. Emmalyn Whisnant had five aces and four kills. Becca Roberts and Tori Crotta both had three aces and five kills. McKenzie McCoy added three aces.

The B-Team meanwhile lost 18-25, 13-25. McCallister led the Lady Indians with two aces. Shelby Simmons, Bella Sun, and Kourtney Hunter each had an ace, and Charlotte Hatcher had two kills along with one by Simmons.

The A-Team is now 2-1 on the season, and the B-Team drops to 0-2-1.
