XC hosts 'Gorge to Beach' 3K event

In the first home event of 2024, the TFS cross country teams hosted the 'Gorge to Beach' 3K event on Tuesday.

The Lady Indians came in second out of nine teams, as Olivia Henderson finished third individually. The boys were third and Teagan Penland's 4th-place finish paced the Indians. Avery Keim and Timothy Beck also finished in the top-10.

"We had 189 runners, the biggest ever for this particular meet," says coach Scott Neal.

The race featured a course record, and multiple TFS PRs in the 3K distance.

"It was a GREAT event in which TFS was an incredible host while still being competitive," adds Neal.
