TFS drops tough matches to Banks, Rabun Gap

The Lady Indians' 4-match win streak was snapped Thursday night in losses to Rabun Gap and host Banks County.

TFS was on pace for a solid night starting out against Rabun Gap. The opening set went to the Lady Indians, 25-10. From there, they lost 20-25, 12-15 in a tight battle.

Chesney Tanksley, Becca Heyl, Julia Smith, and Margalida Amengual Sanchez started out with some hot serves.

"We then took our foot off the gas and allowed them to get into their game," says coach Matt Heyl. "Chesney got hurt and was out the rest of the night which brought down morale a bit and we just couldn't pull it quite back together. The girls fought hard in the midst of playing a new rotation, but we just didn't seem like a unified team tonight."

TFS then dropped the match to Banks County, 20-25, 23-25. The Lady Indians are now 7-5 overall on the season.
