Mitchell, Crotta lead MS Lady Indians to fifth straight win

Taking on Hart County on Wednesday evening at home, the MS Lady Indians' A-Team took a 2-0 win to secure their fifth straight win. The B-Team came up with a 1-1 tie after two sets.

Against Hart, the A-Team won 27-25, 25-18 in a competitive match. Tori Crotta had six aces and three kills, while Nora Mitchell had four aces and four kills. Becca Roberts finished with three aces and two kills, Emma Whisnant had two kills and an ace, and Izzy Watts recorded three kills and an ace.

The B-Team split with a 25-22 first set win followed by a 21-25 loss in the second. Shelby Simmons (six aces), Maelyn Carlyle (two aces, one kill), Chloe McCallister (one ace), Kourtney Hunter (two kills), and Emily Savage (one kill) played well.

The A-Team is now 5-1 on the season while the B-Team is 1-3-2.
