Freshmen Swinton, Smith lead attack in tough loss to #5 Loganville Christian

Despite a tough 3-2 loss on Thursday at home, a silver lining for #10-ranked Tallulah Falls includes a pair of freshmen playing very well against #5-ranked Loganville Christian.

The Lady Indians lost 17-25 in the first set, but rebounded with a 25-21 second set. Loganville Christian won the third set 25-8, but TFS battled back with an impressive 26-24 fourth set. In the finale, the visitors won 15-1 to clinch the match.

"We played two good sets, but fell apart in others," says coach Matt Heyl. "We got a good jumpstart to the matches."

Shelby Whisnant had a great run at serve, and freshmen Ca'Rin Swinton and Lily Smith were aggressive offensively, according to Heyl.

"Margalida [Amengual Sanchez] had some smart swings assisted by Chesney [Tanksley] and some great sets to CaRin and Lily."

The Lady Indians are now 12-10 overall and 3-1 in region play.
