MS softball earns first victory at East Hall

The MS Lady Indians split a Saturday double header at East Hall, winning the finale for their first win of the season.

Tallulah Falls dropped game one by a 7-3 score, though they rallied from 6-0 down to score one in the fourth and two in the fifth. Ruby Sue Anderson struck out two in the circle, and Talley Turpin, Helena Hastie, and Emma Davis all had RBIs.

The second game saw TFS score five runs in the first. East Hall would put up the same, but the Lady Indians added one in the second and three in the third as part of a 9-7 victory.

Anderson struck out three this time, and she added two RBI. Sophia Franklin and Hastie had a pair of RBIs apiece in the game, and Turpin and Kayleigh McEntire had one each. Quinlan Flanders and Evie Purcell each scored twice.

"The team got better as the day went on to win the second game and their first middle school softball game in program history," exclaims coach Jo Kimbrel. "They learned from mistakes and quickly adapted to the game."

The girls are now 1-3 on the season.
