#10 Lady Indians mount big comeback in 5-set win at Bethlehem Christian

Tallulah Falls stayed true to form and never gave up despite a slow start on Monday at Bethlehem Christian. The #10-ranked Lady Indians fell behind before mounting a comeback victory. The JV Lady Indians dropped their match in straight sets.

TFS won the opening set 28-26 in the varsity match, and narrowly dropped the next, 23-25. After a 21-25 third set gave the advantage to Bethlehem Christian, the Lady Indians secured a 25-15 fourth set to tie the match. In the finale, the girls won 15-7 to secure the win.

"We struggled the first three sets with consistency," admits coach Matt Heyl. "We would have a four or five-point run and then let them run it right back on us. We just couldn't keep our foot on the gas. We changed a few things, a little bit strategy, but the rest was the girls taking ownership of the situation. Fighting through it and coming together as a team to battle back playing some of the best team ball they've played all year, dominating the last two sets."

The Lady Indians are 15-14 overall and the season and 4-1 in region play.

Meanwhile, the JV girls dropped a 2-0 final. After falling 13-25 in the opening set, they lost 9-25 in the finale. TFS was missing several key players, though Keely Franks had some good passing and Finlee Ridlehoover set well. Stella Bowman had a block and a kill.

The JV team moves to 7-10 (2-2 in region).
